The USGBC’s LEED-EB Volume program facilitates the certification of a portfolio of buildings. Leonardo Academy has been actively involved in the development of the LEED-EB Volume certification program since its inception. During 2005 and 2006, we worked with the USGBC to develop the framework for the LEED-EB Volume program, and after supporting the development of its framework, Leonardo Academy developed the LEED-EB v2.0 Volume Certification Guidelines document that was introduced to USGBC Volume pilot program participants in February of 2007.

Leonardo Academy was the sole LEED-EB Volume project certification reviewer during the Volume pilot program, and conducted prototype / precertification reviews for a diverse group of building types, including multi-tenant office, retail, hotel, university campus, and state government building groups. The LEED prototype work has involved extensive review, critique, and proposed solutions for each prototype documentation package that was submitted for approval. To date, over 230 buildings have been LEED-EB certified after undergoing audit review by the Leonardo Academy review team as part of the LEED-EB Volume pilot program.

With the official launch of the USGBC LEED-EB Volume program at the 2011 BOMA conference, Leonardo Academy is now able to provide our expertise to all clients in this exciting LEED-EB program area.
