Web Programmer / IT Engineer Intern (PDF)

Leonardo Academy, a Madison area Sustainability Consulting firm, is seeking a motivated Web programmer / IT Engineer Intern with at least 2 to 3 years college experience to join our IT team.  The initial role of the position is split between interactive projects and maintaining Leonardo Academy’s growing IT infrastructure and critical software components.  This is a paid, on-site internship starting at $10 per hour. The internship is for the spring 2010 academic school year, and is 10-20 hours per week.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate or graduate CS majors with experience/demonstrated proficiency in PHP and MYSQL as well as 2.0 technologies including AJAX, Flash, Flex and iPhone SDK.

HTML | CSS | XML | PHP | MySQL
Additional Skills:
Flash | Flex | ASP.NET | JavaScript | iPhone SDK

World Green Volunteer Blog Writer

  • Writing and researching editorial content
  • Proofreading and formatting content
  • Assisting staff with administrative duties
  • Assisting editorial staff as needed on projects

World Green® is a unique online sustainable community created to help social entrepreneurs on all levels develop and communicate the impact of their green actions. By providing a forum for the discussion of environmentally sustainable materials, reduction of negative environmental impacts and increased energy efficiency, Leonardo Academy extends its knowledge-base freely to the public. Leonardo Academy also emphasizes designs and materials that safeguard the health of residents and locations.

World Green® seeks writing interns for fall, spring and summer terms. This is a unpaid blog writing opportunity. Blog writers will have the opportunity to produce original content for one of the Web's most successful and innovative environmental media sites. Interns should be organized and self-starters. A strong writing/journalism background is recommended, as well as an interest in environmental issues. Basic HTML skills and familiarity with content management systems and social media is very helpful but not required.
